At the Library...

A magician performed and Robbie was laughing at the antics of the show, and KC was having fun jumping on and off Mom's legs!
After the show, there was a raffle, and Robbie won a ticket to the Big E, otherwise known as the Eastern States Exposition, our largest Massachusetts State fair! He was pretty excited, and now we're working on planning just when to get over to East Springfield to see what the Big E is like.
It's hard to believe that summer is winding down. The Big E is one benchmark of the Autumn season, as is the start of school. Robbie starts on Monday, and I think he's actually looking forward to it. We've begun to notice that some of the tree tops are turning a bit russet here and there. Some of that can be attributed to the very cold snap we had last week, with low temps running into the upper 40's and low 50's for 4 days running. We saw poison ivy on our walk last night that was turning red, and again this morning, I heard and saw a "V" string of 15 or more geese flying south. Two nights ago on our evening ramble we saw a flock of nighthawks, which are headed south too. And so the wheel turns.
