Fledglings!

Here are the boys at the library today. It's story time for 2 year olds, and Robbie comes as a "payback" for KC cheering him on each week at swimclass. They are both so adorable, and I see more and more each day that they are both independent, strong, capable kids!

This is one of the wren fledgelings that came from the nest on our back porch. She and her 4 siblings have all fledged the nest, and have been flitting about the backyard for a week now! All 5 were sitting in this rhodendron in the backyard and I was able to get very close to get quite a few pictures of them. Fledgelings, of course, are in the way of nearing adulthood, starting to find food on their own, and shelter too. Right now Mom and Dad Wren are helping, but I think it won't be too much longer before they are all grown.

I'm so glad I'm not a wren, who has her children about her for such a short time. And too, I think that the boys would hate eating bugs for breakfast!
